Shahane Kirman studied
at the Drexel Institute of Technology, Penn State University
and earned his doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry
in 1954. Upon graduation, Dr. Shahane Kirman served in the
United States Air Force Strategic Air Command. Dr. Kirman
provided eyecare to the two bomb wings at Carswell Air Force
Base and to the flyers at Dallas Naval Air Station. He earned
the rank of Captain in the Medical Service Corps.
After serving his country, Dr. Kirman
moved to the peaceful countryside of Hummelstown, PA, where
he opened his own optometry office in 1958.
Today, Dr. Shahane Kirman is an accomplished and highly respected optometrist, as well as an active member in several community programs.
Outside of business and volunteer
work, Dr. Kirman enjoys family recreation involving picnics,
water skiing, boating, swimming, hunting, and fishing.
Most recently, Dr.
Kirman and his wife, Janet, celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary, and are proud that all three of their sons, Bruce,
Gary, and Donald, are active in the continued success of Kirman
Eye.
