Stephen Baer attended Juniata College where he earned a B.S. in Pre-Medicine/Biology (1991).   He went on to earn his O.D. at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (1995).

During his training, Stephen broadened his knowledge of optometry by participating in several externships, one of which placed him at Kirman Eye in Hummelstown, PA.   Upon graduation, Dr. Stephen Baer became a full-time associate at Kirman Eye where he specializes in primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular disease. Dr. Baer also performs Low Vision and Pediatric Vision evaluations, as well as pre- and post-operative refractive surgery consultations. He has been very active in organized optometry and currently is serving as President of the Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society.
